Corporate & Non Profit History

I also work with companies and non-profit organizations to help bring their history to life. Below are some examples of my work.

Innovative Audio Content

Recognizing that traders - both internal sales traders and external buyside traders - are more likely to consume and enjoy audio content, we started by producing a series of mini-podcasts featuring first person testimony from some of the leading traders and executives of the firm, some long-ago retired but many still working. These entertaining podcasts are featured on the firm’s homepage at jonestrading.com and have been released periodically over the firm’s 100 year anniversary.

JonesTrading - 100 Years of Jones

JonesTrading is a Wall Street trading firm based in Westlake Village, CA with 25 offices across the USA and the world. The firm was started in 1975, but its heritage goes back even further, to 1920, when the grandfather of the firm’s chairman, Packy Jones, started a firm called Mitchum Tully in San Francisco. To remember and celebrate “100 Years of Jones,” the firm partnered with Historio Studios to conceive and execute a historical content marketing plan.

A Lasting Legacy

Working in partnership with the firm’s creative design firm, Ashton & Partners, we produced a heavily-illustrated hardcover book on the history of the firm: All About the People: 100 Years of JonesTrading, published in December 2020 to coincide with the firm’s 100th anniversary, and distributed to its many stakeholders.

“Kevin and his team have done an incredible job of making us realize just how much can be done with historical content. Ultimately, what we offer our clients are the talents of our traders and the strength of our relationships. The 100 Years of Jones has been enriching for employees and clients and has delivered measurable impact for the firm.”

Hearing history from those who lived it

In 2007, Packy Jones wisely decided to record interviews with some of the firm’s early founders including his uncle, Dick Jones, who has since passed away. These hours of audio content had largely sat on the shelf for over a decade, but we were able to repurpose it in these mini-podcasts, providing an incredible window into the past and the incredible stories of those who lived it.
